Disappointed

I took advice from the sales assistant as to the best conditioner for an itchy scalp, and was recommended this. It's also suitable for fine hair, so I thought it would be great and took advantage of a price reduction for three bottles. Sadly this conditioner leaves my hair so static it's unmanageable and looks awful. I've been persevering with it because it's expensive and I hate waste, but I'm at the point where I have two unopened and unused bottles that may well have to go in the bin. So disappointed. Such a waste of money. *reviewer contacted by Customer Care but no response*

Conditioner must be used after the lavender 'shampoo'

I have been using this conditioner with the shampoo for a few months now, my hair has never been better. I have fine curly hair. From my experiences this conditioner MUST be used with the accompanying shampoo otherwise it is too stripping, which I found out from using the conditioner on it's own or with different shampoo's/cleansers. The 'shampoo' is oil based and is more like a pre-poo and then the 'conditioner' is more cleansing/stripping, washing the oily shampoo away, I had no need for deep conditioner afterwards. As I said in the review for the shampoo, curly haired people are used to adding moisture first, this might be strange to people who are used to using a foaming shampoo and then conditioning. My hair is left very easy to comb through. I don't have problems with getting it out of the bottle. Sometimes I can smell the acv for a while after washing but it's not that strong.

I don’t recommend

I bought this, having been advised in the Manchester shop that it was the best for fine hair. I agree with other comments that the product is difficult to get out of the bottle and also the lid fell apart on the first use. The conditioner didn’t untangle my hair at all and so was almost impossible to work through the hair evenly. The only good thing about it is the smell. The last time I bought Neals Yard hair products was around 10 years ago, and the experience was very similar. Lavender conditioner

One star for the pleasant smell. Expensive conditioner that is not a good buy. No lather at all, so in the shower, even with rubbing it around in the hands first you cannot be sure it is impregnating the hair and scalp, I find that I cannot get the conditioner out of the bottle through the push top because the bottle plastic is too hard to squeeze, I have to unscrew the top and bang it out as you would a ketchup bottle to get a decent amount out. I don't find that it gives a good shine as advertised even with a lot of product. Very disappointing product...Response from NYR on 21.08.18 'Thank you for your feedback and we're really sorry to hear of your disappointment with our Lavender Conditioner.
