I find this excellent for smoothing dry frizzy hair.

Absolutely the smell but I do find it leaves my hair feeling slightly greasy..and it would be helpful if the shampoo was available!!

No matter how long I rinsed, my hair came out looking greasier than before I washed it. Shampoo without the conditioner seemed okay but the lack of lather meant I used a lot.

Love the lavender conditioner I have fine hair but the conditioner leaves it looking heathy and manageable

Very good conditioner

I decided to give this conditioner alongside the shampoo as part of a wider mission to clean up my skin and hair care from endocrine disruptors.

As a conditioner it is absolutely useless, and does nothing in detangling the hair. I could have used a whole bottle in one wash and still not been able to get the knots out. I had to cut it with another conditioner to be remotely usable. But even then it left my hair in a tangled mess in need of moisture. Save your money and look elsewhere.

I love this conditioner for my hair. No wierd ingredients and no sulphates, leaves my fair curly hair in long-lasting silky ringlets and not frizzy. My hair feels strong and nourished when I use this conditioner, though I have to say, I miss the strong scent of chemical conditioner. The scent of this conditioner is much more subtle - but that's just me.
Application is different to chemical conditioners, with a milky, rather than creamy consistency. But you quickly get used to this because your hair looks so so nourished after use. I get through a bottle every two weeks- no more or less than other conditioners I have used. Great value for money and I feel like I'm honouring my hair and scalp with natural ingredients.

Sadly I am disappointed in this conditioner. it isn’t very hydrating. I also bought the matching shampoo which does not lather. I bought the products to hydrate my hair and spent more than I normal do on hair products. However I am afraid to say the condition is worse rather than better.

This conditioner smells lovely and leaves my hair silky soft. Doesn’t weigh my fine hair down

Works well and easy to use.

I have used this for years. I remove the cap as the cream is thick and I am impatient. I have very sensitive skin and this works well for me. Moisturising with a gentle smell.

I had high hopes as I love Neal’s Yard usually but this conditioner has really let me down. It’s very thin and doesn’t spread through the hair without using lots. It also doesn’t smell like lavender in the same way that the shampoo does. It has a slightly smell instead. I hope they change their formula as there’s no reason why they can’t a better version of this. Maybe I’ve just received a bad bottle but if not then I won’t be buying it again.

I have dry, fine hair, which is very flyaway. This conditioner takes getting use to (it won't feel like much is happening when you put it on your hair) but it has made my hair feel much softer and given it body and weight. It feels very natural and has a lovely texture and smell.

I like this conditioner a lot. The scent is amazing and so natural. It's not too thick and heavy, and it's very easy to rinse it out.

very nice smells good & softens your hair

Had to leave a review cos of all the bad reviews left for this product. This is the best conditioner I have ever used and I'm scared all the poor reviews will hurt sales of the product which might lead to it being discontinued. I have hair type 4c, so naturally chronically dry hair, no conditioner (including those made specifically for afro hair) is as generous and rich with natural oils as this one. This is all I use and it leaves my hair actually soft, not soft for afro hair, just soft, moisturised, and extremely nourished. This is a nourishing conditioner that restores oils to your hair. If you have long hair, make sure you use enough, I don't just use conditioners to detangle, so I don't judge it on that, plenty of other cheaper conditioners can do that, I use conditioners to condition and nourish my hair. Can't recommend this enough.

I am a fan of NY products but unfortunately the hair conditioner was worse than useless. Having struggled to remove it from the bottle it then did nothing to de-tangle my hair. The texture of the product on my hair felt very harsh and not creamy like hair conditioners should be. I had to interrupt my shower to go and find another conditioner. I feel very let down and disappointed with NY.

Don’t buy this unless you want greasy/ claggy hair that looks like you didn’t bother rinsing the product out. Awful customer service too. Avoid!

Smells lovely but not strong enough for my long damaged hair

Have short. fair, fine hair. I use this conditioner with the Lavender Shampoo, my husband complimented on the fragrance! Have been using these products more than a year, they leave my hair soft & manageable.

I love this conditioner. My all time favourite. It leaves my rather dry hair feeling light, and frizz free. Recently I received a compliment on my 'perfume'. I realized later it must have been my shampoo/conditioner as I was not wearing any perfume!

This conditioner is a perfect partner to the lavender shampoo - my previously frizzy hair is silky and smooth after just a pea sized among on towel damp hair

I have been looking to get some NY hair products for a while and brought this today as a treat! I am disappointed to say the lavender conditioner is awful! - sorry NY about this isn’t one of your finest achievements! Hair was really tangled and felt brittle after! The only good thing is the smell is beautiful! So worth putting on after a decent conditioner - if just for the lavender smell x

I was desperately searching for a conditioner without polyquats (ingredients that might be thought of as toxic) and this was the only one I could fine out of all mainstream brands, and I am so grateful for Neals Yard for making it. I don't find it super conditioning, as in I don't feel it makes any difference whether I leave it on for an hour or rinse it off immediately, either way the effect is the same, and that is it leaves my hair feeling softer and more manageable. Its not a huge difference but it makes my hair much easier to deal with when dry. Is it very conditioning, no, am I still searching for a deep conditioning hair mask, yes, but it does what I want it to do and I am very happy with it. I find the shampoo and conditioner lids a bit iffy, so I simply remove the tops and take a blob out.

If I had read the reviews before using this product I would never have bought it, but it was a gift a year ago and I have been buying it every since. I have a lot of very fine hair and this conditioner tames my hair so that I don't need to use hair straighteners to control it. I prefer it without using the lavender shampoo first (I use another Soil Association approved shampoo) as it left my hair looking rather oily. It didn't get 5 stars because of the difficulty in getting it out of the bottle. Given how long NY have known about this problem, why haven't they done something about it?

Very disappointed in this so called conditioner. I wish I had read the reviews before buying. It doesn't untangle and leaves hair feeling brittle and looking dull. I don't think I have ever bought such a poor product at such an expense. I would really like a refund or at least an exchange.
