Uplifting and zesty, citronella is useful for summer evenings outdoors and blends well with orange, lime and peppermint. This cleansing organic oil has a beautiful citrusy scent and is steam distilled from the grass near Tororo in eastern Uganda. We’ve worked with a young farmer, Joel, to set up the distillery for aromatic crops grown on local farms, creating valuable employment.

This technique helps to clear your head and nose. For adults, add 4–6 drops to a bowl of steaming water, place a towel over your head and breathe. Children over 2 years old, adults with sensitive skin and asthmatics should not inhale directly. Instead, place the bowl of hot water with added oils in the room nearby.
Uplifts for body and mind while helping to soothe aching muscles. For adults, use up to 15 drops in 2 tbsp of base oil. For children over 2 years old or adults with sensitive skin, use up to 6 drops in 2 tbsp of base oil. Not suitable for children under two years old.
Diffusers & burners
A natural air freshener, using essential oils in an aroma diffuser or burner helps to create an ambiance and set a mood. For adults, add 1–3 drops in a diffuser or burner. For children over 2 years old, adults with sensitive skin or if applying to the face, add 1–3 drops in a diffuser.
WARNING: Do not use undiluted on the skin. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Flammable. Use within 12 months of opening. Some citrus oils can corrode the plastic components inside a diffuser, damaging the inside of the diffuser and leaving behind a permanent citrus scent which may interfere with the fragrance when you choose to use a different essential oil or blend. The damage caused to the inside of the diffuser may also void the manufacturer’s warranty. We advise you to empty and rinse the tank of your diffuser and then wipe dry with a clean cloth every time you finish using a citrus essential oil or blend. This will protect the tank from the damage that can be caused by corrosion.
I LOVE this oil!! I work as a Matron in a boarding school and I swear that by rubbing 1-2 drops through my hair regularly keeps those pesky lice away!
A bright and lovely scent that transports me to a holiday spa
Used to keep insects and little critters away, refresh bins. Dilute and make up a spray for winter to keep out mice, for summer flying insects, mosquitoes and spiders all year round.
I chose this essential oil to accompany the diffuser given its value for money compared to another I purchased from a Neal's Yard representative which I felt was over priced and I wasn't given the knowledge on how much the cost would be. A little annoyed by the representative afterwards at holding back on the price being. charged.
