  1. Wet hair with warm water, apply shampoo sparingly and work into a low lather.
  2. Rinse thoroughly and repeat as necessary.

Bottle: Wash out and recycle.

Flip top or screw cap: Can be recycled with plastics, but not all local authorities accept them yet, so please check your local recycling facilities. If not accepted, please bring to a participating Neal's Yard Remedies store, and we'll recycle via our TerraCycle scheme.

A very good shampoo.

I’ve read various reviews. It is thicker, as some people say and doesn’t come out of the cap. I remove cap. I wet my hair and rub the shampoo between my palms. It does lather! I use a smaller amount for the second wash. It rinses out well but I have the shower head near my head! My 80+ year old hair loves it!

Excellent for very dry hair

If you have very dry hair then this is an excellent shampoo that will not strip, dry or damage your hair. However, if you do not have particularly dry hair, or you use conventional conditioners and styling products (especially silicone ingredients), then you may find this doesn't clean your hair enough because it is VERY gentle. It does not lather and it has a consistency more like conditioner than shampoo, but it does magically clean your hair. Personally I love it and it's the first shampoo I've found that really genuinely doesn't dry out my hair and is actually gentle and non-stripping. If you use the Curly Girl Method then this could be your holy grail (it's mine). However, if your hair type is like mine (dry, curly, fragile, porous) then I would avoid Neal's yard "Nurturing Rose Shampoo for Dry & Damaged Hair" as it is very harsh and will.... dry and damage your hair.
