In addition to our responsible sourcing credentials, at Neal’s Yard Remedies, we make our gift boxes with card from FSC® certified woodland, which is Carbon Balanced by World Land Trust. Since 2012, Neal’s Yard Remedies has offset over 600 tonnes of CO2 and helped to protect over 3 million m2 of endangered forest in partnership with this charity. We are the first company in the UK to achieve the prestigious World Land Trust certified packaging accreditation. This doesn’t just measure and balance our working methods – but also considers the carbon impact of the materials we use from beginning to end. What’s more, we receive support from the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) whose Zero Foil to Landfill Scheme sees that no foil packaging products are sent to landfill. Any foil we use is recyclable and converted to solid recovered fuel (SRF), which goes on to be a replacement for fossil fuels such as coal.
