Uplifting and zesty, citronella is useful for summer evenings outdoors and blends well with orange, lime and peppermint. This cleansing organic oil has a beautiful citrusy scent and is steam distilled from the grass near Tororo in eastern Uganda. We’ve worked with a young farmer, Joel, to set up the distillery for aromatic crops grown on local farms, creating valuable employment.

WARNING: Do not use undiluted on the skin. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Flammable. Use within 12 months of opening. Some citrus oils can corrode the plastic components inside a diffuser, damaging the inside of the diffuser and leaving behind a permanent citrus scent which may interfere with the fragrance when you choose to use a different essential oil or blend. The damage caused to the inside of the diffuser may also void the manufacturer’s warranty. We advise you to empty and rinse the tank of your diffuser and then wipe dry with a clean cloth every time you finish using a citrus essential oil or blend. This will protect the tank from the damage that can be caused by corrosion.

The smell was delightful throughout the house. I used it to spray around the windows and doors as a spider repellent. W will definitely buy again..,,,and no spiders!

Using essential oils

I have been using essential oils for years. I studied using oils on a 2 year course, after my second session I returned home emptied my medicine box out & disposed of all the creams & bottles, my husband was horrified, as my GP always suggested lots of things such as black treacle for a cough yogurt for many things it seems the right thing to do, I will always go to essential oils first, my daughter is now a convert,I even use 1 drop of Lemon grass & 1 drop of Frankincense in my vacuum filter,I put a drop of oil in the end of the toilet rolls better than a chemical spray

I thought I would try this oil over the summer months especially during the evenings while sitting outside. It has been excellent not only warding off insects but also filling the evening breeze with a delightful citrus odour. I use a few drops with a base oil in my burner. Perfect!

I use citronella oil along with peppermint oil to keep the flies out of my home office while I am working and have the window open.I use a simple tealight burner with 5 drops of each oil. The combination works a treat and also smells wonderful - keeps out flies and bugs and also puts my clients in a great mood when they call in for a meeting!
