This refreshing shampoo contains mineral-rich seaweed and stimulating herbal extracts to suit all hair types. The gentle blend of botanical extracts and fresh scented rosemary cleanses your hair and scalp.
All our shampoos have a natural low lathering foam to avoid stripping away the hair’s natural oils, which can leave it feeling brittle and dry as well as irritating the scalp.
- For all hair types.
- With mineral-rich extracts.
- Low lathering foam.
Aqua/Water, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Sea Salt Extract, Lauryl Betaine, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract*, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Chloride, Benzoic Acid, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil*.*Organic.
How to use: Wet hair with warm water, apply shampoo sparingly and work into a low lather. Rinse thoroughly and repeat as necessary. For best results, follow with Invigorating Seaweed Conditioner.
Tips on cleansing: Warmth will help open the cuticle of the hair shaft to facilitate cleansing of any oils of substances trapped beneath, but avoid using hot water as it will dry the scalp and hair. The ideal temperature would be just gently warm on the skin. Concentrate on massaging the scalp, the massage effect will also help stimulate the revitalizing blood flow within the skin as well as remove any dead skin cells or surface impurities. For best results, give your hair a cold rinse to finish. Not only will it close the hair shaft (resulting in more shine) it will help to constrict the sebaceous glands to help moderate sebum production.

In love!
Such a great mild foaming shampoo. Cleansed my curls perfectly without stripping away essential oils. My hair and scalp don’t seem to agree with coconut oil so ingredients are great for me. Please bring out in the 1 litre bottle!

Great for curly hair. I use once a week and use the matching conditioner on the other days. Doesn't strip the hair of the oils it needs and avoids a big frizzy mess

Report this reviewLauryl sulfate,laurel betain
Hello. I am surprised to find the nasty L S in the shampoo ingredient. .Not so natural...Response from NYR on 29.08.18 'Thank you for your review. Ammonium lauryl sulphate which we use in our shampoos (except our Lavender shampoo) is made from a chemical reaction of lauryl alcohol (obtained from coconut oil). Ammonium lauryl sulphate (ALS) is a cousin of sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). Sodium lauryl sulphate has acquired a negative reputation through it sounding like sodium laureth sulphate (SLES), which it is not, and does not have the same issues attached to it. We use foaming agents like ALS (Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate) because the majority of our customers want foam and would find it difficult to adjust to cleansing products without any foam. We also use them because they rinse well. We would be happy to discuss this with you further on 01747 834634 or at advice@nealsyardreemdies.com'

The seaweed shampoo is fantastic. I spent years finding a shampoo that did not irritate my skin and scalp. By trial and error I discovered that I have an allergy to coconut oil and it's derivatives, so finding the Seaweed shampoo was a real gem of a find.**From a recent survey**

I tried the Lavender shampoo first but found it very difficult to lather and although I know this isn't absolutely necessary, I found it difficult to distribute the product through my hair. I swapped to the Seaweed shampoo which lathers more easily. It does cleanse the scalp (mine is irritated around the hairline) and reduces irritation. It smells fresh. My hair is fine, and more so as getting older. This product hasn't completely eliminated the irritation around the hairline but has reduced it so it is worth using if you have the same problem.
